Villa by Sea with Pool in Garden
We warmly invite you to Villa Taman Ayu, a green and colorful tropical paradise in the fishing village of Bondalem, in northern Bali. Villa Taman Ayu is just 100 meters away from the Bali Sea. Parallel on the elongated volcanic (gray) beach is the coral reef that forms part of a marine management area. A wonderful place for walking, relaxing, yoga, snorkeling, diving or enjoying the sunrise as well as the sunset.
Experience the friendly and still pure Bali in the spacious house in the beautiful tropical garden, with swimming pool and various seating and relaxation areas. Villa Taman Ayu is built in authentic Balinese style, attractively furnished, fully equipped and suitable for 1 to 9 people.
Overview and interior
Taman Ayu has a spacious layout: the mainhouse (the villa), two bungalows (guest houses) and the swimming pool with sun terrace are situated in the large colorful garden.
The villa has Balinese high wooden ceilings with an 'open' design which ensures natural cooling of the rooms. There are two large bedrooms, with kingsize beds and mosquito nets. One of these rooms has got an extra bed. There is a large living room with a sofa and a seat, TV and DVD (DVDs available). All rooms, including the veranda, feature ceiling fans. In the spacious bathroom there is both a semi outdoor shower (shower under a beautiful starry sky!) as a bath with shower. The house is fully furnished with teak Java furniture, which creates a atmospheric, exotic atmosphere. The spacious kitchen, with adjoining cozy coffee porch, is fully furnished.
In addition, two bungalows, each for 2 people, are built in the same style as the villa. These feature a queen-size bed, mosquito net, ceiling fans, and each has a bathroom with toilet and a beautiful semi-outdoor shower. Both bungalows have a cozy veranda with a seating area overlooking the garden and a garden sofa.
Taman Ayu is completely walled, like most Balinese homes, which, combined with a lot of tree and plant growth, ensures a pleasant privacy.
During your stay, Dewi, Lusi and the staff, will be happy to support you in all ways to help you fullfill all your wishes. As for your stay at Taman Ayu, as well as any tours, transport to or from Taman Ayu, scooter rental, trackings, massages, cooking workshops, ceremony and temple visits, spotting dolphins or fish with a local fisherman on a traditional fishing boat to catch a Mahi- Mahi, etc.
The villa is cleaned daily and bedlinen, towels and bathtowels are provided. For a small fee the staff can take care for your laundry and groceries.
With regard to the daily meals, you can choose either to be indulged with the delicious local dishes prepared by the staff, recommended (!), or cook yourself with the products of the local market. And of course you can also have a snack at a warung (also take away) or make use of the (few) restaurants of the beachside resorts. In the villa there is a menu for having breakfast, lunch and dinner at Taman Ayu and also a map showing a number of warungs and restaurants, (ATMs, supermarket, etc.) nearby.
There is a babycot available, that we can accommodate in your bedroom and a high chair for children.
A stroll through Bondalem is definitely worth the effort to experience ordinary, daily Balinese life! For "early birds", the traditional market (daily between 5-8 AM) is really a nice experience. And of course swimming in the Balisea and snorkelling over the coralreef is "a must". Dive-enthusiasts can go diving with the local divemaster Nyoman of Bondalem Dive Center (www.divenorthbali.com), and get acquainted with the marine management program to preserve and stimulate the reef.
A local guide can explain you during your walks in Bondalem in English, about culture, nature and the Balinese Hindu religion and its many ceremonies, such as full moon, naming ceremonie, marriage and cremation, etc. Depending your interests, you can also visit a school in the village, get an explanation of the work of fishermen and farmers neraby, take a walk through the campung (coffee, cocoa, cloves) and visit a Balinese familyhome to experience the friendly hospitality and daily life of the village.
Starting at Taman Ayu, you can find all kinds of temples, waterfalls (Les, the Git Git and Sekumpul), the Art Zoo (interesting studiocomplex at sea of the American painter Simon), (coffee) plantations, rice terraces, the hot springs at Air Sanih , the old public outdoor bathhouse in Tejakula, Batur Lake and enthusiasts can, for example, do a tracking for watching the sunrise on Mount Batur. You can also go shopping in Singaraja, Lovina, Amed or Ubud for example.
Enjoy and dont hold back!
Of course, it is also nice to just to relax on Taman Ayu or snuggle to the beach.
If you like, we will organize your transfer to and from the airport or your accommodation, as well as excursions to the many attractions in the area. We use local drivers for all the transport and tours . And if you prefer to get around yourself, you can rent a scooter or car at Taman Ayu.
The North of Bali has, unlike the busy South, still the atmosphere of traditional, pure Balinese life, with only a touch of tourism.
